Alison Bozung

OD, FAAO

Dr. Alison Bozung graduated from Southern College of Optometry and later completed an ocular disease residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Forida. Dr. Bozung served as a clinical assistant professor in the University of Iowa's Department of Ophthalmology, practicing in both the Cornea and Comprehensive Ophthalmology services for three years before returning to Bascom Palmer where she currently practices, primarily seeing patients in the hospital's 24/7 ophthalmic emergency department. She serves as the associate director of the optometric residency program and is also the clinical site director of the optometric student externship program, which hosts students from five colleges of optometry across the United States. Dr. Bozung is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of local and national optometric associations. She is a regular contributor to optometric journals, is a member of Eyes on Eyecare's editorial board, and serves on the editorial board for Review of Optometry.
