Dennis Ruskin

Dr. Dennis Ruskin graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1976 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. In the same year, he established his full scope practice in Toronto, Ontario. In 1989, he became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Ruskin has been an appointed advisory member to committees within the provincial government, College of Optometrists of Ontario, Ontario Association of Optometrists, Seneca College's Opticianry Program and pharmaceutical corporations. As well, he has had a clinical affiliation with the Vision Institute of Canada and has served as examiner for the Canadian Examiners of Optometry. He has as interest in nutrition and its impact on ocular disease. He has authored research papers and lectured to health care professionals. Currently, Dr. Ruskin is a board member to the Ocular Nutrition Society, chair of the Nutrition Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Academy of Optometry and serves as the president of the College of Optometrists in Ontario.
