Nick Nianiaris

MD, FRCSC

Dr. Nick Nianiaris received his medical degree in 1988 from the University of Toronto. His Ophthalmology residency training followed at the University of Toronto. He continued training and completed a Fellowship in Ophthalmic Research (including excimer laser studies) at Mount Sinai Hospital. He is Ophthalmology certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and he is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has trained and practiced extensively in laser refractive procedures with some of the worlds foremost authorities in refractive surgery.� Dr. Nianiaris is also an expert� in small incision cataract surgery. Dr. Nianiaris has been a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Canadian Ophthalmologic Society, College of Physician and Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Medical Association and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Nianiaris has been a Medical Director of TLC Toronto since 1994. He is Chair of the Ethics Review Board of TLC� Toronto and is a member of the TLC Toronto Advisory Board. He is also a Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto. Dr. Nianiaris is the former Chief of Ophthalmology at Toronto East General Hospital where he sits on several committees and performs his cataract surgeries.
