Robert Dunphy

OD

Dr. Dunphy received his OD Degree from the New England College of Optometry. He completed his residency training in Hospital-Based Optometry at The VA Medical Center Brockton/West Roxbury Massachusetts. Dr. Dunphy has served as a staff Optometrist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and as eye clinic director and optometry program educational director at several inner city Health Centers in Boston. He is currently a Staff Optometrist and a staff member of the VA Ocular Telehealth Center at VA Boston Healthcare System Jamaica Plain Campus. He is a Clinical Professor at The New England College of Optometry and a member of the adjunct faculty of Illinois College of Optometry and Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has published articles on glaucoma, ocular trauma and retinal disease. He has lectured at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Optometry, The American Optometric Association, The International Society for Imaging in the Eye, the Annual CDC Diabetes conference and numerous regional optometric meetings. He serves as principal investigator and co-investigator for several ongoing clinical research projects involving clinical applications of imaging technology in disease diagnosis and management. Dr. Dunphy is a member of the Speakers Bureau for Optos North America and Heidelberg Engineering, Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Member the International Society for Imaging in the Eye, Member of the Optometric Retina Society and a Member of NAVAO.
