Refractive Surgery: Today and the Future
Dr. Raymond Stein is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and Medical Director at the Bochner Eye Institute in Toronto, Ontario. As an esteemed global leader in refractive surgery, he has been honoured with numerous awards from a variety of prestigious international medical organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Intraocular Implant Club and the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists. Because of his commitment to advanced technologies and surgical excellence, Dr. Stein also served as President of the Canadian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Stein has been invited to lecture at numerous medical conferences and has written various published journals, magazine articles, book chapters and books.
With more than 100,000 successful eye surgeries performed, Dr. Stein has established himself as an expert and pioneer in refractive and implant surgery. As a testament to his exceptional surgical talents, he was chosen to serve as the chief eye surgeon for the W Network's Style by Jury. He also serves as the editor of the prominent scientific journal, Clinical and Surgical Ophthalmology.
Dr. Stein began his career by completing a medical degree at the University of Toronto Medical School. Continuing his education, Dr. Raymond Stein performed an ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic and a cornea and external diseases fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.
In addition to serving as Medical Director at the Bochner Eye Institute, Dr. Stein is Chief of Ophthalmology at the Scarborough Hospital in Toronto, Ontario as well as the Cornea Consultant at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Stein is committed to providing high quality care to patients with a variety of ophthalmologic needs including PRK, keratoconus treatment, ICL and LASIK in Toronto, Scarborough and Unionville, Ontario. Dr. Raymond Stein also offers a number of sophisticated refractive surgery procedures at the Bochner Eye Institute including cataract surgery.
