Clinical Applications of Dichoptic Therapy: A Binocular Approach to Amblyopia Management
Dr. Lisa Wadolowski Koehler, OD, FAAO
This course provides an overview of the diagnosis and management of amblyopia including its definition, classification, common clinical findings and treatment strategies. Traditional management options, such as spectacle correction, patching and atropine penalization, will be discussed with a focus on vision therapy and technologies utilizing dichoptic therapy for amblyopia management. A pediatric case example will be presented to illustrate vision therapy and other tools used in the management of amblyopia.
