Hamza Khan

MD, FRCSC

Dr. Hamza Khan completed his BSc with Honours at the University of Toronto and then attended the University of Western Ontario and received an MD with Honours. Following an internship at the University of Toronto, he attended Harvard University, where he earned a Masters degree in Public Health. Upon completion of his MPH, Dr. Khan specialized in Ophthalmology, completing a Residency at the University of Toronto. Specialization in Cornea and Refractive surgery followed when Dr. Khan filled a Fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans. He holds prestigious fellowships, both Canadian and from the American College of Surgeons as well as awards in educational achievement from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His teaching and research at the UBC Faculty of Medicine has been an ongoing commitment, for which he holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He is past chair of the Division of Ophthalmology in Victoria and current chair of the South Island Surgical Quality Improvement Committee.
