Robert Devenyi

MD, FRCSC

Dr. Robert Devenyi is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences at The University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Devenyi is the Director of the Donald K. Johnson Eye Center, Director of Retinal Services at University Health Network and Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at the University Health Network, The University of Toronto. He is also the Team Ophthalmologist for The Toronto Maple Leafs. Dr. Devenyi has experience in all aspects of adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgery, anti-VEGF agents, and rheopheresis, and has been a consultant in these fields. He is also a member of the Clinical Studies Resource Centre of Toronto Western Research Institute. Dr. Devenyi's research focuses on the development of a novel treatment for neovascular age-related macular degeneration, involving ultra high-speed indocyanine angiography and a coupled diode laser, the surgical repair of complex retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy and all aspects of macular degeneration.
